The first group of pioneering websites such as sina.com, sohu.com, netease and tencent. com have had a firm foothold and earn money easily every day while new websites such as xunlei.com, tudou.com, youku.com, shanda.com and ztgame.com are confronted with restrictions after rapid development at the beginning. The latter use all their skills one after another in the hope of leaving their name in the history book of Chinese business websites for a long time.
 
Changes of contents and copyrights will remodel the DNA of business websites to some extent. Such reorganization of genes is not the wish of Internet companies but seeking changes is already a trend. After going through the period of taking traffic as the king and scales as the most important thing, China’s Internet companies, the whole industry and everyone in the whole industrial chain are thinking how to understand the word “regulation”.
 
Regulated operation will more and more dominate the mainstream of the Internet. Website companies still not used to the new living environment will meet a rather tough “cold winter” period. Nonetheless, strict supervision is also good for them in one aspect. The raise of the industrial threshold will reduce threats brought by newcomers and relatively weak competitors may also fall down first, which provides opportunities for those industrial leaders to consolidate and develop themselves. As usual, TEEC implements its original plan in practice conspicuously and quietly. “Tsinghua entrepreneurs” is a very big idea and people have their own understanding of it and create the social value of Tsinghua people from different angles and by different ways to do credit to their Alma Mater continuously. TEEC doesn’t use the appellation “Tsinghua entrepreneurs” to fish for fame and compliments but to express the common aspirations and ambitions of a group of schoolfellows doing pioneering work in the high-tech field. They have their own understanding and explanation of pioneering work and dreams—“doing pioneering work” is not the purpose but a hardworking and dauntless lifestyle. “Success and fortune” are just a “byproduct” of pioneering work instead of the real pursuit of “pioneering work”. Only selection of the “lifestyle” is the real spiritual driving force. Now Tsinghua people brought up by the university motto “actions speak louder than words” better realize how important collective force is to the success of pioneering work. Thank the Alma Mater and support each other. TEEC will continue its collective heroism in the “post-Olympic era”.
 
 
New Magic from Google
In the eyes of its competitors, Google is a national enemy. Its ever-reaching outreach extending from searching function is intimidating; in the eyes of regular people, the 6 colorful letters are the synonyms for “creativity, passion, and coolness”, having extremely subversive entrepreneurial spirit, eye-catching novel and creative products, luxurious and flexible working environment and very cool “no wrong doing” credo. In the short 10 years, it has developed from a humble abode beside Stanford University to the global internet dominator as of now.
 
Yes, the rapid inflation of Google is surprising. But with the growth and development of the internet, Google has maintained this momentum; this is also the most essential quality of the internet, that is “openness”. Openness is the sharp blade for Google to sweep away all the obstacles, bit by bit disintegrating the power of stubborn competitors, leaving certain scope of “mutual affluence” for its cooperating partners.
 
Google is seeking a leadership position, albeit with a more modest manner. Therefore, Google becomes an eco-system, everyone is learning how to survive in this system. Maybe, it is time to enjoy the peace under Google’s ruling.

但是理智的商业印记下,也需要一些出乎预料的激情和起伏。提及网游,几乎不可避免会第一时间联想到盛大和九城,它们是中国网游的奠基性企业,尽管在国家政策监管上,它们属于文化创意产业,而非人们通常所认为的互联网公司,但互联网文化渗入最深的领域却就在于此。
没有另一个产业领域,能如此充满魅力却又富于争议,在被它的消费群体无理性攻击的同时又获得最高的持续消费性支持;也很难出现第二个产业领域,在被投资人视为高危政策监管区的同时,却又频繁有热钱涌进,并以群体性姿态进入华尔街视野。
从质疑到惊奇的外界观感变化中,它们也完成了从仅仅推出产品和服务到强调创新与合作的转变,这是网络时代的最佳标签,它并不如口诛笔伐者所鄙薄的那样肤浅。2001年开始的《传奇》曾为盛大带来了整整一个时代的辉煌,而今天的竞争者无一不想复制最初的荣光,但当网游企业已经具备群体效应并被社会的声音加以放大时,它们也就集体面临着更多未可预知的风险。
比如华尔街眼中的政策监管,比如先入者对后来者人才恶性竞争的指斥,比如调整自身的研发方向是否支撑得起未来高速增长……未曾上市的公司仍然把纳斯达克或者纽交所视为最佳资本平台,而已经登陆的公司,则已经不得不随着资本潮流起伏,参与着一场又一场的市场资本游戏。
这的确是一个善于缔造财富神话的时代,却也是一个危言易于耸积的时代。对于似乎将涌向浪尖巅峰的网游企业,尤其如此。

They also finished the transition from offering products and services only to emphasizing creation and cooperation in the change of the external perception from questioning to being surprised. This is the best label in the Internet era and it’s not as shallow as despised by its criticizers. The Game Legend, which debuted in 2001, brought Shanda brilliance that lasted for a whole era. Nowadays all its rivals want to copy its original glory, but, when online game companies have already had a group effect and are amplified by the social voice, they will face still more unexpected risks collectively.
 
Take the policy supervision in the Wall Street, the reprimand for early comers’ vicious talent competition against late comers and whether adjusting one’s own R&D direction can sustain high-speed growth in the future or not for example……unlisted companies still regard NASDAQ or the New York Stock Exchange as the best capital platform while listed companies cannot but participate in a round and a round of capital market games amidst changing capital trends.
 
This is really an era for creating wealth myths, but also an era for saying frightening things. It’s especially true for online game companies which have almost swum to the wave peak.
